What keeps you motivated to create?

I have been staring at these things on my worktable for weeks and have not felt the "motivation" to create anything. What helps you to stay motivated??
Too Clean!!

Keys, Findings and Locks.......Oh My!!

Loving my Locks!

Great Stuff!!
I think I have something comparable to "writers block" and I don't know what to do about it. I think it may be from the fact that I have not sold anything on Etsy this month, nor have I sold anything at The Rustic Door yet and only sold one thing during the Merchant Soiree......... Have I lost my MOJO??

  1. You haven't lost your mojo. I feel ya! I have TONS of inventory and sometimes I just sit there & stare at it and I have no idea what to make. It's totally opposite when I'm at work all day- all I can think about is getting home to create. When I get "creative block", my version of writers block, I start cruising the internet to see whats selling & what's in style at the moment. Searching Etsy helps alot. Sometimes it just takes one picture or color combination for me to get inspired and then it just feeds from there. I've had a slow month selling too & I'm feeling it. You make awesome jewelry Leslie! You'll be back on fire again soon!

  3. April- I can always count on you to support me at anytime! I consider you one of the best things I ever found at the Merchant Soiree!! Hugs!!
Allison- Good tunes is an awesome suggestion- I now have 92.5 blasting in my workshop. Oldies that take me back to childhood (which was awesome)
    THANKS GUYS!

  4. Hello Leslie,
No worries, we all find ourselves without that creative flow from time to time. It helps me to first start with cleaning up my work space then just drive into my creative projects. I find once I get started there is no stopping me. I also find inspiration by reading other women’s blogs.
